“Seasons of Life” Ladies Seminar

Cathy Dotson serves as the Elementary Principal of Wilmington Christian Academy in Wilmington, N.C. She has 21 years of experience in Christian education. We are excited to have her as our speaker for this seminar and anticipate the Lord to use her in great ways.

The seminar will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will end at 3:00 p.m. A light lunch will be served.

Appalachian Bible College Gospel Heralds

Chosen with their music abilities in mind, their character is of the utmost importance. Every year this group of nine students and varying sponsors will travel throughout the states serving local churches, camps, and other ministries. The ten week summer tour quickly becomes a highlight of their years at ABC.

The impact of this ministry in the lives of the students is double-sided. First, they experience, in a very practical way, God using them. Their concerts are carefully crafted so their abilities lead the observers in Christ-honoring worship. Secondly, they experience the blessings of observing God use local churches and believers to minister to their needs. This is often the most impacting.

This year the Gospel Heralds will be touring the following states: Michigan, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, as well as North and South Carolina. Their ministry will begin on June 1st and will conclude on August 3rd.

Streams in the Desert – Adult Sunday School Series

Have you been faced with a difficult situation?  Do you feel as though you have been forsaken, as though you are in the middle of a dry, desert experience in life?  These desert experiences are God-appointed seasons when He shows us the wonder of His Holy Spirit, and we realize that even in the desert, God’s gracious streams of supply can be found.

2013 Deep Sea Fishing Trip

Fifteen men went along on the 2013 VBC Deep Sea Fishing Trip. Sailing out of Manteo, NC on the Country Girl, the group caught over 200 pounds of wahoo and tuna with the catches of the day being Dr. Weatherford’s and Kurt Vaden’s 52 and 45 lb wahoos.

Special thanks to Nathan Brown for arranging the trip and making it available for everyone; Dr. Weatherford, Jeremy Cordova, and Nathan for driving; and to all the men for the laughs, good times, memories and fellowship.

Lessons from Legends Sunday School Series
